Session: Lightning Talk

Over the past few years clickers have been introduced in the classroom with the aim of making learning more interactive and inclusive.

Through interactive questions provided to the audience a demonstration of the benefits of using clickers in the classroom to enhance learning and engagement through peer learning will become evident.

By requesting the audience to participate in a second interactive test, but this time for summative assessment purposes we consider if the use of clickers in this scenario is as positive an experience as for the first test?

The aim of this session is to explore the potential problems of using clickers for summative assessment and to consider how to overcome these problems or if an alternative form of assessment is more appropriate.
